Tommy Oliver x Reader~ looking back

Author's note~ Takes place after Zordon introduces Tommy as the White Ranger. By the way I made up the battle sequence, don't get mad!

It has been a week or so since Tommy Oliver joined the Power Rangers, and so far it seemed like an excellent choice for him to be a part of the Power Rangers. Ever since Tommy moved to Angel Grove you had the feeling that you had to get to know him better. When you first met him there was something about that you had liked, so when the next couple of days afterwards he turned into the "bad boy of Angel Grove" you always had a suspicion of what was going on with him. After the evil Power Ranger was converted into your side you have begun to develop a crush on Tommy because after that you have came even closer than ever before. You would train together up on the hill that overlooked Angel Grove and you would also study together. Kimberly and Trini would poke fun at you and would always say that you had fallen for the White Ranger, but you always denied it. 

You were on the hill and you were just reading your favorite book when you heard someone walking over to you. You turned around to find Tommy behind you. "Hey, Tommy," you said with a smile on your face. "Hi (y/n)," Tommy replied returning the smile. He sat down beside you and asked, "What are you reading?" "I'm reading (insert title here)," you answered. "Oh, I never heard of it," Tommy replied. "It's a really good book," you responded. "Is that why you're here? To read?" Tommy questioned. You sighed and said, "I guess, and to just...get away for a bit. Don't get me wrong I love being a Ranger and I love helping people, but sometimes it just grows to be too much for me to handle sometimes." Tommy just looked at you for a second and replied, "I understand what you mean. It can get to me sometimes, too. I am still haunted by the fact that I was hurting people before."

You put a hand on Tommy's shoulder and gave him a shy smile. "Remember you did get pulled out of that darkness that Rita put you under. We wouldn't have pulled you out of that if you didn't want to. You were always good, but you were influenced by darkness at one point. That wasn't you I know it wasn't, so don't blame yourself," you said. Tommy looked at you in disbelief, but then smiled at you. "And, hey, look at you now! You are one of the strongest and smartest rangers that I know," you continued. "Thank you (y/n)," Tommy replied. "No problem, Tommy," you responded with a smile. "Hey, remember the first time I met you?" Tommy asked. "How could I forget?" you replied with a laugh. 
                                                                                        ~Flashback~

You walked into Angel Grove High and were almost immediately greeted by Kimberly. "Hi Kimberly," you said. "Hi (y/n). Have you seen the new boy?" Kimberly asked. You shook your head and said, "I didn't know that there was even a new kid in the school." "Well there is and look where he is," she said turning your head to the direction of the lockers. There stood a boy in a green plaid shirt with jeans and for some reason you felt butterflies start to form in your stomach because you realized he was next to your locker. "Go and introduce yourself," Kimberly said. "O-okay," you muttered and went towards him.

You went towards him and you said, "Hello." "Hi," he replied. "Um, can I get to my locker, please?" you asked him as you saw that he was on top of it. "Oh yeah, sorry," he responded getting off and rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm (y/n) (l/n) and you are?" you asked. "Oh, I'm Tommy Oliver and as you can tell I am sort of new," he said with a smile. You returned the smile and said, "Well now that we introduced each other and I got my things, why don't I show you around?" you asked. His smile got bigger and said, "yeah, that'll be great."

Tommy and you just smiled at the memory. "You seemed really nice when I first talked to you," you stated. "Seemed?" Tommy questioned. "You are amazing now, but the next day I met you, you were really...mean. It seemed like you didn't wanted to talk to me, anymore," you replied. "Yeah," Tommy mumbled. "That was also the day that we had the first contact with the Green Ranger aka you. I thought that I was going to die," you said. "You took a big hit," Tommy said. "I remember later however you asked if I was alright," you said. "Yeah," Tommy replied. "I grew suspicious of you after that," you said. "Remember our final battle, before I finally turned to the good side?" Tommy asked. "Of course I remember that," you replied.
                                                                                        ~Flashback~

You went to the park and you saw in the distance the Green Ranger ready for battle. You went to call the rest of the rangers, but you saw him come after you. You quickly transformed into the Purple Ranger, and you were prepared to battle.You and the Green Ranger soon come into combat. You trying your best to dodge his attacks, and putting all of your weight into your attacks. While he was trying to do the same to you. After what seemed like an eternity of engaging combat with him the other Rangers came to your side to help you defeat him.  "Are you okay?" Billy asked you. "Yeah," you said. "Well look who decided to show up. I was beginning to think you didn't care about Ms. Purple over there," the green ranger said. "We do care, unlike you," Kimberly replied. After that the Green Ranger ran towards all of you. You barely moved out of the way and managed to slash him. 

You all soon began into an all out battle. Everyone trying to knock out the Green Ranger while he was trying to knock out the others. Hours passed by while you tried to defeat each other. Then the Green Ranger took out his dagger and went to take out Kimberly but you ran over and took the hit instead of Kimberly. After many hours of fighting the Green Ranger he finally managed to take away your Ranger form. 

You fell down and felt like you were about to pass out. All of the Rangers swarmed around you asking if you were okay. The Green Ranger stood idly by the side watching the scene in front of him. "(y/n)?" he whispered. You looked up at him as he said your name. He then turned and walked away. The other Rangers were too busy with asking how you were that they barely noticed. Billy lifted you up and took your arm around to give you support to hold onto. "Why did he just run away like that?" Kimberly asked. "Maybe he is not as evil as we think," you stated. "Not as evil? He almost killed, (y/n)!" Billy exclaimed. "Maybe he doesn't want to be evil, I mean it looked to me like someone who is torn into halves like maybe someone is making him do this," you replied. With that noted you all went to Zordon's base while Billy helped you out with some of the wounds you had.

"I am still sorry for what I had done to you guys," Tommy said. "Well the past is in the past and all you can do is forgive and let go," you responded. "Thank you for all that you had done for me and for trusting me when none of the other Rangers did," Tommy stated. "Who could blame them? I mean you basically were this machine that was meant to kill the Rangers. Plus, I knew you before a lot of the Rangers did, so I knew I could trust you," you said. "Even now?" Tommy questioned. "I still trust you even now," you replied. "That's good to know," Tommy said with a smile.

"I guess it is," you stated. He reached and held onto your hand. You looked up at him in surprised and tried to hide your blush. "Hey (y/n)?" Tommy asked. "Yeah?" you replied. "I hope after we graduate and after we are done with being Rangers we can still be like this," Tommy said. You looked at him in utter shock but slowly smiled at him. "I hope so, Tommy. I hope so," you said.

"Can I ask you a question (y/n)?" Tommy asked. "Yes, Tommy?" you said. "Do you like me?" Tommy asked. You blushed and asked, "W-why w-would you think that?" "Maybe because I hope you do," Tommy said. "What?" "I like you (y/n). Ever since I met you at our lockers, I have liked you," Tommy said. "I like you too, Tommy Oliver," you said with a smile. "Does that I mean I get to do this, then?" Tommy asked. "Do wha-" you were cut off with Tommy's lips on yours. You kissed back after a few moments. "Y-yeah you can do that," you mumbled blushing a brighter red than Jason's shirt. Tommy just smiled at you and turned to look at the view of Angel Grove. You decided to put your head on his shoulder and look at the view of your hometown. Little did you two know was that this was the beginning of an amazing relationship.
