Jayden x reader

You were the newest to join the Power Rangers Samurai team. Every Samurai ranger had an element and yours was time. You had an ability to freeze time, but it took a lot of your energy, so it does have it some limitations. Even though you were the newest Ranger does not make you less of an equal. The fact that you came in later than the rest made you train even harder, so you could earn their respect.

You had saved Emily from getting hurt when she wasn't in her Ranger form. Kevin was about to lose his Ranger ability before you stepped in front of the blast that was meant for him, which saved him but had weaken you to a point in which you cannot your Ranger form. After that incident Kevin asked you to never try and save his life again because he was afraid it might cause you your death. You told him that you cannot do that because both Ranger and Samurai would never leave their friend behind even if it means that they have to die in their place.

You continue to train and work hard, like the others but you have put in some more time. Over the course of being a Ranger you had become close friends with all of them. You may or may not have gained a crush on the leader. Jayden had made a mark on your heart when you first met him. Your small crush had grown into something bigger. You realized that you had fallen in love with the red crusader. You loved his determination, smile, charisma, and just basically everything.

Recently, the monsters have been testing the team's skills more frequently and it is taking a toll on the team. So, you decided to go to your favorite place when moved here a while ago. It was a ravine in the forest that was actually quite close to the dojo. You sighed when you saw your place, and laid on top of a boulder. The ravine had made it seem like time has froze. You relished in these moments where you didn't get beaten down and made you feel worthless. It didn't help that you we're new to town either. You sat up trying to shake all the negative thoughts out of your head.

"(Y/n)?"you hear a familiar voice say. You spun around to see Jayden standing at the clearing of the ravine while holding onto a branch. He looked at you with a slight concern worn on his face. "Um...hi," you said lamely. "What are you doing here, (y/n)?" Jayden asked. You made room on the boulder and he decided to sit down next to you. He waited for you to explain. You cleared your throat, "I always come here when I am feeling stressed or just want a break, which isn't often because I'm always busy, apparently." "Same, but I have to. I'm the leader of this group, and everyone counts on me to carry through," Jayden stated with a sigh.

You put a hand on his shoulder and said, "Jayden listen to me. If you really think that than what you need to do is relax for a bit, because an over worked mind doesn't help you at all. With all the extra training and studying that I am doing, I should know. That's why I'm here," you answered. "Mind if I join you, then?" Jayden asked. "Sure," you replied.

You both lay down on the boulder. Subconsciously, over time, you two were moving closer to each other until you were both at the hip. You looked at the position you were in and blushed and scooted away until Jayden intertwined your hand with his, which just made you bush a darker red.

It was night at this point and you sat up knowing what is going to happen. Jayden sat up too looking at you confused. "Watch the sky," you whispered. He looked up and suddenly saw the stars slowly start to sparkle and gleam. His gaze moved back to you and saw you at an awe at the sight you saw. At that moment he saw the sparkle in your beautiful (e/c) eyes, and saw your lips pull back in the smallest of smiles. He realized that he had fallen in love with you. Mike always teased him about you and him together, but he always shrugged it off.

"It's beautiful, isn't it," you asked. "It sure is," Jayden said never taking his eyes off of you. Your eyes started to droop, and you realized that it was close to midnight! You didn't have the energy to get up, so you allowed yourself to close your eyes and rest your head on Jayden's shoulder. He just pulled you closer to him and smiled. "I love you, (y/n)," Jayden said. "I love you too. Always have," you replied smiling.

He put a kiss to your forehead and carried you to your cot in the dojo. Jayden, being as tired as he was, decided to lay down next to you, similar to the layout at the ravine. You two both had a nice sleep that you both deserved. The stars were sparkling and it looked like they were laughing, and maybe it is because those two rangers finally got together.
